I stayed at Mountain View Eco Lodge during a recent transit through Montagu, and I found the village to be a perfect halfway stop between Cape Town and the Garden Route. The location of the hotel provided a convenient resting point for travelers like myself, allowing us to break up our journey without straying too far off the main route.

The parking spaces were extremely tight, making it quite challenging to find a suitable spot to park my vehicle.

We had a great value for our money at Mountain View Eco Lodge. The room had beautiful African decor and a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, within walking distance to nearby restaurants. The staff gave us a warm welcome and even offered guided tours and motorcycle rentals. The communal area with the bar and pool looked fantastic, although we didn't have a chance to use it. The views from the high decking were lovely and added to the overall great experience. The local community was also friendly.

The breakfast items could have been better with more variety and options.

Mountain View Eco Lodge Montagu is an excellent choice for both exploring Montagu and finding relaxation. With its breathtaking mountain views, this lodge truly offers a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The heated pool was not actually heated, which was a disappointment.

The bar area was great for socializing, especially on a pleasant evening. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring my comfort throughout. The food was outstanding, with the dinner being the best meal I had during my trip.

I keep coming back because the staff at my first stay helped me return my forgotten hairbrush. This place suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, free parking, a flat-screen TV, and a rooftop pool. It has everything I need for a trip.

The central location of Mountain View Eco Lodge made it convenient for exploring the area. The host, Maude, was friendly and welcoming, providing a warm atmosphere during our stay. Additionally, the clean rooms and great shower added to the comfort of our visit. Alain, the owner, cooked delicious meals, especially the Kudu biltong salad and Ostrich fillet. The intimate dining room and selection of local and Belgian beers in the bar were also highlights. Despite some limitations, like the basic rooms and rough towels, our overall experience was positive. I would recommend this hotel for those looking for a friendly and attentive stay in a central location.
